Tournament of Minds
For two consecutive years, 7Hills students have distinguished themselves at the annual Tournament of Minds; an international problem solving competition that is designed to encourage lateral thinking, creativity and teamwork skills in young people. In 2017, a 5 girl team from our maiden class were first runners up in the STEMs competition, for a lottery machine that they built from scratch using electromagnets. In 2018, our Y7 and Y8 teams were overall winners in 2 categories; STEMs and Social Sciences. Tournament of Minds is a purely student led, project based competition, and all compliments go to our students who have consistently proven to be academically strong, self-driven, creative thinkers and team players.
Residential Trips
Students at 7Hills discover the culture, history and diversity of Uganda and her people through planned visits, expeditions and trips to various historical, religious, cultural and entertainment sites, including; the Uganda Museum, the Baha’i Temple, the Gadhafi Mosque, meeting Dame Jane Goodall at the Goodall Institute, Nile white water rafting, the Art Biennale festival, walking tours of downtown Kampala, rock climbing, and assorted overnight trips to conservation areas.
