Bonita is a consulting writer and communications consultant with a specialty in brand and communications strategy. She is also a mother of 3, whose interest in the 7Hills project is to build a school that will in the near future give her children an education that is 21st century relevant, creative and practical. In her involvement with 7Hills, Bonita hopes to be a part of a revolution in her home country, that triggers the shift from traditional and static teaching techniques, to more innovative ones that give teenagers a solid launch pad for their lives and careers.
Mark is married with 3 children and believes that high quality and modern education should be accessible to a wider public in Uganda. His involvement in 7Hills is a contribution to the country he loves and lives in. Mark holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from The University Of Zurich, Switzerland and is the Managing Director of Roko Construction Limited.
Romina is the Honorary Consul of Switzerland to Uganda and holds an LLM. She is a mother of three and has lived in Uganda since 2006. Romina was a pioneer of the 7Hills project because of her strong belief that learning should be fun, practical and nourish creativity. Through 7Hills, she has created the option of a holistic education where sciences, the arts, humanities and sports are balanced, and creativity and innovation are nurtured.
Deborah comes from a family full of teachers and has been working in the education system since she was 14 years old. She has a TESOL teaching certificate and has taught English in Australia and the U.K, as well as working as a teaching assistant in the UK. She has a Bachelors in African Studies and a Masters in Human Resource Management and Development. Deborah is originally from the UK but has lived in Uganda since 2003, working in reproductive health and water sanitation. She has vast experience in training teachers in non-formal education techniques. She is married to a Ugandan, Bikie, and has 3 beautiful young children who will one day attend 7Hills.
Annabel is a passionate advocate of education that stimulates students, involves them in their own learning, teaches them the necessary skills, information, and understanding, and helps them to problem solve and to think critically. She is a strong believer in the need for strong moral values and a readiness to serve wider communities. She has been involved in education and student welfare for decades, working as a teacher, teacher trainer, school counsellor, as Director of Student Support Services at the International School of Uganda, as Head of School of Heritage International School, and Head of School at 7Hills in Kampala, Uganda. She currently works as a consultant with Music for Life and the African Children’s Choirs and their secondary school Empower International Academy.
Annabel comes from the UK and is proudly a Ugandan citizen, educated in England, France, Belgium, and Italy. She trained initially as a graduate nurse following a bachelor’s degree from London University in Social Sciences and Administration. She is a trained teacher and holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Bath University. Annabel is a mother of four grown-up children, and wife to Kim for over 43 years.
