7Hills International School

IGCSE

IGCSE (Year 10 and Year 11)

After careful research 7Hills chose to adopt the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (commonly known as IGCSE), to follow on from and complement the International Middle Years Curriculum, in Years 10 and 11.
IGCSEs are tried, tested and familiar to many of our parents, and recognized internationally.

They allow students to choose a broad base of different subjects tailored to their particular strengths. This is a two year program that ends with exams taken by international students around the world. There are several options as to which awarding body we choose and this is still under discussion.
At 7Hills, we will be adding our own twist to the IGCSE program by continuing to teach using the methods of the IMYC in order to bring more meaning to our students’ learning. We will continue to look at learning through the lens of bigger concepts and with an accent on active, project based methods that build critical thinking and problem solving. This is already being done successfully in other international schools and will allow us to continue with the important task of building our students skills for the 21st Century.

IGCSE Success

Huge congratulations to our 2022 Year 11 IGCSE Candidates! We are very proud of the class for their achievements, hard work and determination. Every single one of our students showed great progress over the two years of IGCSE study and we are so pleased that this was reflected in their grades. We got fantastic results including in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

A big well done and thank you also goes to our teachers for all their efforts and support!

We are celebrating the success of all of our students, and would like to highlight some of the remarkable grades of our top achievers.
